Created by Chris McNeeny and Ken Oboh, Gold Digger is a piece of software that analyses fan pages on Facebook to provide information on the viability of marketing to them.
What is the product?
Gold Digger is designed to provide users with additional insight into Facebook fan pages before launching an advertising campaign. By providing you with multiple metrics which tell you things like how many users share content, how frequently and even how they share (likes etc.). By using this information you can extract the best possible value out of your advertising campaign and draw on what Chris McNeeny and Ken Oboh refer to as Ultra Targeted Traffic. Gold Digger further helps you by allowing you to search fan pages to see how many users are using your key word as well. This means that the audience is (theoretically) already invested in the product that you are selling. As well as the core product you also receive training videos and an instructional manual in PDF form.
What is the investment vs. the rate of return?
Chris McNeeny and Ken Oboh claim that Gold Digger has a real world value of $400 and that by purchasing it for $37 you are extracting maximum value. Personally I find this valuation somewhat doubtful and believe it to be nothing more than a marketing “trick”. That aside Gold Digger comes with a 30 day money back guarantee so you do get some piece of mind. In terms of the return on your investment, it is a difficult thing to gauge. Realistically, I believe that with a strong product and a successful marketing campaign you can make your money back “overnight”.
Does the product provide value for money?
Given the alleged abilities and the cost of Gold Digger (ignoring the woefully bad claims of a $400 value) I feel that it does provide reasonable value for money.
Conclusion
The big question with Gold Digger is whether it works as intended. If it does, this is a marketing revolution for start up internet marketers allowing them to target audiences that are already out there. The money back guarantee is reassuring and if you have the capital free, I can think of worse investments than giving Gold Digger a try and claiming a refund if necessary.
