What is the product?
Simple Writing System comes over 9 DVDs as well as being packaged with a work book that covers over 280 pages of content that ties in with the video training. John Carlton claims that he has made Simple Writing System easy to follow by offering is training in a step by step format. This is built around footage from a live workshop hosted by John Carlton. By improving your writing for marketing John Carlton says that Simple Writing System will help you to increase your volume of business as well as an increased conversion rate. cThese are a book on “Power Words” that will allegedly increase your conversion in its own rights. There is also Kick Ass Copywriting: Secrets of a Marketing Rebel, another book by John Carlton about writing copy.
What is the investment vs. the rate of return?
Simple Writing System comes with 2 different payment options. The first of these is a one off payment which will cost $797. Secondly 4 monthly payments of $229. Whichever option you choose here is a 30 day money back guarantee provided by John Carlton with the creator of Simple Writing System saying that if you are unhappy you can get you money back. In terms of income, this is a difficult thing to gauge not least of which is down to the fact that Simple Writing System isn’t a direct money making product. Nor am I particularly convinced that it will do well enough to justify the costs.
Does the product provide value for money?
As I have mentioned above, I don’t believe that the books balance well enough to consider Simple Writing System value for money.
Conclusion
Despite a number of select testimonials claiming that Simple Writing System has helped them to generate thousands of dollars, I am not convinced. This is based rather heavily on the fact that the copy that John Carlton uses to sell his own product is rather on the crude side and I don’t see why I would pay $800 to somebody who cannot even interest me in their own product, for information on how to sell mine. There are plenty of guides out there to marketing and copy that aren’t going to be that far off Simple Writing System for a tenth of the price.
