Back the Best is tipster service that specialises in providing email based selections for flat horse races. It is operated by an unnamed tipster duo.
What is the product?
Back the Best provides users with an average of 1-2 selections per day. The tipsters behind Back the Best do however state that this isn’t a guarantee and that some days there may be no tips whilst other days may have 3-4. This is because Back the Best is a selective service that focuses on selecting value bets. Whilst the exact selection process isn’t detailed, it would appear that Back the Best draws heavily on form and statistical analysis. This is backed up in a statement made by the tipsters behind Back the Best where they state that they do not makes selections based on insider information, nor do they have any connections with stables. Back the Best follows a 2 point per bet staking system with both points staked on a win bet or 1 point each way for each way bets. Whatever type of bet is recommended, Back the Best will notify you in the email.
What is the investment vs. the rate of return?
There are a number of different subscriptions available for Back the Best however I don’t feel that any of them qualify as cheap. A monthly subscription costs £40, 6 months is £195 and a year is £300. There is however a one month trial before you make a purchase. There is also a refund policy of sorts whereby if you have paid for a longer subscription and cancel you can get the difference refunded. In terms of income, Back the Best doesn’t do so well. Unfortunately the tipsters don’t provide an overview, possibly due to the fact that 5 months since January have been losses with the winning months hardly making the difference up.
Does the product provide value for money?
Given the premium price and the frankly rather disappointing results I don’t believe that Back the Best does provide value for money.
Conclusion
There is unfortunately a lack of things worth recommending for Back the Best. I would usually say that a free trial is worth giving a go but given the fact that there is a 50:50 chance of it being a losing month this doesn’t even feel fair. With all this in mind I feel that it would be prudent of me to not recommend avoiding Back the Best.
