The Edge Review Jason James Betfan

Created by Jason James and offered under the Betfan umbrella of services, The Edge is a horse racing tipster service that provides different bets on a daily basis.

What is the product?

The Edge is a service that provides high yield tips for horse racing up and down the UK. The creator Jason James draws heavily on his 30 years of experience in horse racing (6 of which have been spent as a full time bettor). This is the same experience that Betfan says provides him with the ability to read a race and find an angle, something that appears to be a key element of the selection process for The Edge. Bets are sent out via email with advice on whether to back to win or back each way as well as staking advice. The staking is an important part of The Edge to take note of as staking can range from one to five points. Whilst still only a few months old, The Edge has achieved a strike rate of 30.92%.

What is the investment vs. the rate of return?

The Edge is definitely one of the most expensive tipster services that I have seen from Betfan, if not full stop. The costs are a staggering £65 per month or £130 per quarter. You can however claim a discount for your first month (28 days) of £40 bringing the cost down to £24.95. Being a Betfan product, their usual policy of not offering refunds but reviewing requests s in place. In terms of income The Edge has had a phenomenal start generating a profit of 310.34 points in the first few months.

Does the product provide value for money?

I find this a rather difficult thing to gauge as The Edge can no doubt make money, however I am rather littered with doubts about this that stop me saying yes.

Conclusion

The Edge is expensive and unproven in terms of consistency. If you are looking for a quick income you may be interested in following selections for a month and then canceling but even then I have reservations. The fact is that because the staking has such a high range, profits are not necessarily reflective of performance. With that in mind I would advise giving The Edge some time to see how it performs in the longer term, especially as the costs are so high.
