Created by Nicky Doyle, Bet Alchemist is a horse racing tipster service that provides selections for a number of different race types with a focus on bigger events.
What is the product?
Bet Alchemist is a horse racing tipster service that provides selections for UK and Irish races. Selections are offered when available with around 6-12 selections per week for a number of races including national hut, flat and all weather races. Bet Alchemist selections draw heavily on the alleged experience of creator Nicky Doyle with him saying that his system uses extensive form and statistical analysis as well as getting to “know” the jockeys, trainers and horses. He also claims to be able to spot when a horse has been primed for a big win although details are scarce on this. Based off the statistics that Nicky Doyle provides, Bet Alchemist has produced a strike rate of 50.21% with average odds of 7/1.
What is the investment vs. the rate of return?
Bet Alchemist is available for monthly or quarterly subscriptions at a cost of £30 and £79 respectively. Whichever subscription you opt into the first month is available for just £15. Rather uniquely for a tipster service, Bet Alchemist comes with a 60 day money back guarantee courtesy of ClickBank. In terms of earnings, Nicky Doyle says that Bet Alchemist has generated 849.97 points of profit over the last 6 years. So far for 2014 Bet Alchemist has allegedly made 107.99 points of profit.
Does the product provide value for money?
Bet Alchemist is priced in line with most tipster services and if the points profit is to be believed then there is some value in it.
Conclusion
Bet Alchemist sits in a position that I feel many tipster services occupy in so much as it is a reasonable enough service but doesn’t really do enough to differentiate itself from the competition. This doesn’t make it a bad thing necessarily but it does make it difficult to gauge its position in the market. I don’t believe that the profits are exceptional but I would have liked to have seen some proofing. This is probably the most striking thing that Bet Alchemist has going against it.
