Bookie’s Enemy No. 1 Review Gary Poole

Created by Gary Poole, Bookie’s Enemy No. 1 is a horse racing tipster service that provides near daily selections straight to your inbox.

What is the product?

Bookie’s Enemy No. 1 is a tipster service that provides selections for horse racing up and down the UK. All bets provided are for turf and all weather flat racing with the selection process being down to the vigilance of creator Gary Poole. He claims that when making selections for Bookie’s Enemy No. 1 he will watch hundreds of reruns of a race with a view to identifying a horse that lost due to bad luck or an unfortunate circumstance. From here he will then refer to his notes about race conditions and if a bet represents value. Bookie’s Enemy No. 1 has been operational for free on Twitter for some time now but Gary Poole feels that it is the right time to go live as a paid service. All selections are sent out the night before the race and come with staking advice as well as whether to bet on a straight win or each way.

What is the investment vs. the rate of return?

Bookie’s Enemy No. 1 is currently available for £29.99 per month which may well just be a launch price. There is a definite implication that this cost may change in the immediate future. As is typical of a tipster service there is no money back guarantee or refund policy. In terms of income, Bookie’s Enemy No. 1 made 243.47 points of profit since July. Whilst this looks straightforward, the results have actually been very up and down (something I shall look at below).

Does the product provide value for money?

Personally I am not entirely certain that Bookie’s Enemy No. 1 does represent value for money, namely because the service has shown rather a lot of inconsistency.

Conclusion

If you look at the results for Bookie’s Enemy No. 1 they have been a very scattered affair. The fact is that losing streaks of 10 at a time are not uncommon with the losses to be made up by a long shot winner coming in. The problem with this however is a large amount of the bank can be exposed before you see any recuperation which makes Bookie’s Enemy No. 1 a touch risky in my opinion. If you have patience and a large betting bank then there is potential for Bookie’s Enemy No. 1 to be an OK earner but there will always be an inherent risk factor.
