Fiona Clark’s Betting Club – The Knack Review

Created by Fiona Clark and currently being marketed by Bet Kudos, the service is a horse racing tipster service that has successfully enjoyed a stint at Tipster Planet.

What is the product?

The Knack is a horse racing tipster service that draws on Fiona Clark’s claimed substantial experience in horse racing. She claims to have been interested in and betting on the sport since being in her teens although there does appear to be structure to the selection process (although Bet Kudos do not go into too much detail). Amongst the little information that is offered there are two things that stand out. The first is that The Knack seems to be based primarily on statistical analysis as Fiona Clark does say that she spends a lot of time at her computer reviewing the days races. Secondary to this (and no doubt a massive part of the statistical analysis) is the fact that prior to becoming a bettor, Fiona Clark worked at a bookmakers for a spell.

In terms of the service, The Knack is an almost daily tipster service which is based around utilising a number of bet types to profit including each way and win bets as well as some accumulator style bets. Selections are sent out via email, the night before a race where this is possible. Staking for The Knack is based around what seems to be a Betfan standard of one point all the way up to five points which with a high volume service like The Knack (there have been the occasional day where there are 10 bets) can become costly. In terms of a strike rate, The Knack has achieved 30.53% as an average.

What is the investment vs. the rate of return?

At the time of writing, Bet Kudos are offering two packages to if you want to subscriber to get selections. These are a monthly and a quarterly option and are not cheap costing £49 and £98 per cycle respectively .Nor is there any really money back guarantee in place with Bet Kudos saying that they will review request but these are not typically offered. In terms of the income potential, The Knack has performed rather well in the five months that it has been operational generating a profit of 365.4 points to advised stakes. If you were betting on level stakes this does however drop to a much more humble 90.96 points.

Does the product provide value for money?

Personally I feel that The Knack is just a little too expensive to really be considered value for money which is a shame as the service otherwise seems solid.

Conclusion

Since the launch of Tipster Planet I can’t help but feel that Betfan have massively improved their services in the main, particularly in terms of value for money. Unfortunately, The Knack represents a bit of  a step backwards in this regard. At just shy of £50 per month this is far from cheap. That having been said there are some pretty strong results, so long as you can afford the staking plan. With that in mind, I don’t feel that The Knack is for me however for those who are willing to throw money at an opportunity, you may fare OK with it.
