Home Straight Racing Review Joseph Ryan

Created by Joseph Ryan and marketed under the Betfan stable of tipster services, Home Straight Racing is a horse racing tipster service based around the creators own ratings.

What is the product?

Home Straight Racing is another horse racing tipster service from the Betfan team offering much the same claims as is normal. The service is an email based one with around 2-3 selections being made available to users daily. The selection process is rather interesting with creator Joseph Ryan saying that having had a casual interest in horse racing and then once obtaining his “BS Statistics” from Bath University, he went on to apply statistics to generate his own ratings system for horses in a race. This has allegedly been strengthened through contacts in the horse racing industry. Once the best selections have been identified, Joseph Ryan will then send them out to Home Straight Racing subscribers. Bets are mostly win or each way however there are also Trixie bets as well as accumulators, mostly in the form of doubles and trebles. There is also a focus on maintaining a strike rate which I suppose Home Straight Racing has technically done however it is a very average 25.5% although given the fact that most selections are pretty high odds and there has only been one losing month you can make up your own mind how important this is.

What is the investment vs. the rate of return?

In keeping with the Betfan template you can purchase subscriptions for Home Straight Racing on a monthly or quarterly basis (note that all prices are not inclusive of VAT) which come in at £58 and £116 respectively, Unfortunately Betfan do not offer any money back guarantee on their products and Home Straight Racing  is no different, however they do say that they will review and consider any refund requests. In terms of income potential, Home Straight Racing  has performed well making around 60 points of profit per month on average. This makes for a total of 608.55 points over 10 months although it is worth keeping in mind that this is based on a staking plan that goes up to 5 points per bet with average stakes of 3 points.

Does the product provide value for money?

Personally I feel that Home Straight Racing is too expensive to be considered value for money, especially when paired with such a broad and varied staking system.

Conclusion

There is no denying that Home Straight Racing has proven profitable. In fact, in 10 months Joseph Ryan has made twice what some services will make in a year. This does come at a price however with selections that don’t seem to follow any rhyme or reasons as well as a price that is definitely on the pricey side. Realistically to invest in Home Straight Racing for a year you are going to need a minimum of £1500 for a betting bank and covering quarterly costs and this is a lot of money should things start to take a turn, something that is always a possibility with any tipster service. Particularly one that you are following blindly. Personally, Home Straight Racing isn’t for me however if you don’t mind a riskier investment you may find something here worthy of your attention.
