Created by Jon Bard, Kindle Kids Mastery is a training guide to using Amazon’s newly released Kindle Kids’ Book Creator tool.
What is the product?
Kindle Kids Mastery is an online guide that tutors you in how to use Amazon’s newest programme, Kindle Kid’s Book Creator, that helps in making illustrated children’s books for the Kindle marketplace. The training that Jon Bard provides throughout Kindle Kids Mastery covers a number of different topics relating not just to using the software but also provides modules on how to market your book and even where to find free illustrations and illustrators for your work. Kindle Kids Mastery is a step by step guide that automatically checks off when you have completed a module, ultimately equipping you with everything you need to publish a book at the end. The money making side of things comes from the idea that you should be able to sell your book without too much trouble, something that Jon Bard claims to have expertise in.
What is the investment vs. the rate of return?
The biggest argument that I have with Kindle Kids Mastery is the price. Kinle Kids’ Book Creator is a brand new product on the market that is free so quite why you would want to pay the $147 that Jon Bard asks for Kindle Kids Mastery is beyond me (although you do get a claimed saving of $50 on the usual price). This does however come with a 30 day money back guarantee. In terms of income, Jon Bard doesn’t go into details about how much Kindle Kids Mastery can earn you but I believe that you would have to sell a lot of copies of a book to make it worthwhile.
Does the product provide value for money?
Personally I don’t see how Kindle Kids Mastery does provide value for money, particularly at the price charged.
Conclusion
Kindle Kids Mastery seems to mostly exist because there is a new product out and a new market to capitalise on. Whilst Kindle Kids Mastery does what it says, I don’t see what the call for such a product is. Perhaps if Jon Bard were charging around the $10 mark you could possibly see why Kindle Kids Mastery would represent an OK deal but at almost 15 times that price, I just don’t.
