Dr Boom’s Betcha Racing Review Betfan

Created by Betfan with selections coming from the eponymous Dr Boom, Dr Boom’s Betcha Racing is a new horse racing tipster service that offers specialised selections that you only pay for if they win.

What is the product?

Dr Boom’s Betcha Racing is a tipster service that allows users access to professional without having to take out any lengthy and costly subscriptions. The service is operated by “Dr Boom” and is rather unlike Betfan’s usual offerings. Dr Boom’s Betcha Racing is based around very selective betting, so much so that you shouldn’t really expect more than a selection every few days on average. This is mainly down to the selection process. Dr Boom’s Betcha Racing is based around horses that have been primed for a certain race, for example they may have been entered before into races that are a bit too long for the horse (which alters the handicap for said horse). Dr Boom is then notified of these races through his contacts with various trainers which he then sends out to Dr Boom’s Betcha Racing users. This also means that most selections that Dr Boom’s Betcha Racing send out will be value selections with no bets to date having odds of less than 2.0 however many do go higher than this. Read more

Golf Profiteer Review

Allegedly operated by a tipster called Carl, Golf Profiteer is a golf based tipping service that claims to be able to profit by betting in certain markets.

What is the product?

Golf Profiteer is a golf based tipster service that according to “Carl” the creator, makes specialised selections in the “wonderful” sport of golf. In terms of the selection process Golf Profiteer allegedly draws on Carl’s “natural flair for golfing profits”. Furthermore, the whole process is claimed to be based around a ratings system that incorporates physical and mental attributes which are then compared with various external factors. All of this sounds pretty impressive however as I shall explore below, I am pretty sure that I’ve heard some of this before now (literally verbatim). In terms of the service, it is claimed that Golf Profiteer will send out tips 6 days a weeks with staking advised upon subscribing. Read more

Fiona Clark’s Betting Club – The Knack Review

Created by Fiona Clark and currently being marketed by Bet Kudos, the service is a horse racing tipster service that has successfully enjoyed a stint at Tipster Planet.

What is the product?

The Knack is a horse racing tipster service that draws on Fiona Clark’s claimed substantial experience in horse racing. She claims to have been interested in and betting on the sport since being in her teens although there does appear to be structure to the selection process (although Bet Kudos do not go into too much detail). Amongst the little information that is offered there are two things that stand out. The first is that The Knack seems to be based primarily on statistical analysis as Fiona Clark does say that she spends a lot of time at her computer reviewing the days races. Secondary to this (and no doubt a massive part of the statistical analysis) is the fact that prior to becoming a bettor, Fiona Clark worked at a bookmakers for a spell. Read more

My Lucky 15 Review Betfan

Created by Martin and offered as a part of the Betfan stable of tipsters, My Lucky 15 is a sports betting tipster service that covers a number of sports with a focus on football.

What is the product?

Martin has built My Lucky 15 around the type of bet that it is named after. This means backing a number of different bets per bet with a view to making high profit wins. I’ll start by explaining what exactly a Lucky 15 bet is as this is not just key, but central to the service. A lucky 15 bet involves placing 4 single bets, 6 doubles, 4 trebles and a fourfold bet. This means that in theory, even if some aspects of you bet lose, you can still potentially win however this is rarely the case. Where it really works for My Lucky 15 is that when there are wins, they tend to be very much on the big side. As a service, Martin says that he will try to offer users selections daily however this isn’t always possible. Read more

Kevan Minter The Colonel Review

Created by known horse racing personality Kevan Minter, Kevan Minter The Colonel is the latest horse racing tipster service under the Betfan umbrella.

What is the product?

Kevan Minter The Colonel is a horse racing tipster service that provides users with selective tips, all of which are win or each way bets. The selections come from the knowledge and experience of the eponymous Kevan Minter who has a lot of experience in horse racing (claimed to be over 25 years). During this period he has held a number of positions but now operates as an announcer and also providing hospitality and talks for several large UK race tracks including Ascot and Cheltenham. This makes it entirely feasible that as well as drawing on knowledge, Kevan Minter The Colonel also has some insider information, something alluded to when Kevan Minter says that he is in the know. Bets are pretty high stake going as high as 10 points per bet whilst the service has achieved a strike rate of 50% to date. Read more

Betting Opportunity Review Howard Davis-Shaw

Created by Howard Davis-Shaw and his brother and offered under the Betfan umbrella, Betting Opportunity is a horse racing tipster service that specialises in managing risk for bettors.

What is the product?

Betting Opportunity is a horse racing tipster service by Howard Davis-Shaw and his unnamed brother, both allegedly experts in betting. The bets for Betting Opportunity are a mixture of odds from the longest (as high as 28/1) to much much closer calls with bets coming in the form of singles, doubles and each way bets. According to Howard Davis-Shaw’s statistics this would place Betting Opportunity at a strike rate of less than 25% for 2014 which based off 2-3 bets per day, means that you will potentially have whole days without a winning bet, something that Howard Davis-Shaw feels that you can overcome overall by following Betting Opportunity selections as a longer term strategy. Further to this, the selections that come in on longer odds for Betting Opportunity subscribers comes from an informant network with informants allegedly producing these selections only occasionally. Cricket Advisor Review Anth Rain

Created  by Anth Rain Cricket Advisor is provided as part of the Betfan stable of tipster services. The creator claims that it takes advantage of mistakes bookies make.

What is the product?

Cricket Advisor is a sports betting tipster service specialises in providing selections for a number of different cricket games. The service is heavily steeped in creator Anth Raine’s time spent working at a bookmakers as a manger where he claims to have found that the oddsmen made frequent mistakes in cricket. Cricket Advisor has been operational for a little under a year during which time selections have been rather here and there, namely down to the fact that cricket isn’t the kind of sport that is played daily. Anth Raine looks at a number of different bet types for Cricket Advisor covering obvious things such as the winner to bets on the top batsman or which team will get the most sixes in a game. The staking system for Cricket Advisor is rather varied with bets ranging from 1 all the way up to 5 points at a time. Unfortunately Anth Raine doesn’t discuss the selection process in detail. As previously mentioned, the service does draw on alleged mistakes made by oddsmen however the only other “evidence” is that Anth Raine spent a year learning everything that he could about cricket before he started betting. What this leaves Cricket Advisor with is a story that unfortunately lacks substance or any real show of knowledge, a fact evidenced in the results where Cricket Advisor has 4 losses in 10 months. Home Straight Racing Review Joseph Ryan

Created by Joseph Ryan and marketed under the Betfan stable of tipster services, Home Straight Racing is a horse racing tipster service based around the creators own ratings.

What is the product?

Home Straight Racing is another horse racing tipster service from the Betfan team offering much the same claims as is normal. The service is an email based one with around 2-3 selections being made available to users daily. The selection process is rather interesting with creator Joseph Ryan saying that having had a casual interest in horse racing and then once obtaining his “BS Statistics” from Bath University, he went on to apply statistics to generate his own ratings system for horses in a race. This has allegedly been strengthened through contacts in the horse racing industry. Once the best selections have been identified, Joseph Ryan will then send them out to Home Straight Racing subscribers. Bets are mostly win or each way however there are also Trixie bets as well as accumulators, mostly in the form of doubles and trebles. There is also a focus on maintaining a strike rate which I suppose Home Straight Racing has technically done however it is a very average 25.5% although given the fact that most selections are pretty high odds and there has only been one losing month you can make up your own mind how important this is.
