The Banker Review Alex Cole and marketed by Zerohype

Created by Alex Cole and marketed by Zerohype, The Banker is a horse racing tipster service that provides tips for bets on betting exchanges.

What is the product?

The Banker is an email based tipster service that provides users with selective tips for win bets on betting exchanges. Alex Cole usually sends out selections before 9.30am with about 15-25 selections released monthly. Whilst the selection process isn’t discussed in any detail, Alex Cole claims to have grown up around horse racing fans and mentions form. He also discusses having to have a very disciplined betting style. The number of bets per month shows a clear desire to provide quality tips that represent value rather than offering tips for the sake of it. The Banker follows a percentile staking system with bets ranging from 1-5% to allow bets to be placed on outsiders without exposing too much of the bank.

What is the investment vs. the rate of return?

Zerohype market The Banker for £20 per month, £100 per quarter and £180 for an annual subscription. There is a free trial available with limited numbers which runs for 15 days. In order to get this you must fill in a brief application form of sorts to verify that you are a real person. It is worth mentioning at this point that there is no money back guarantee in place. In terms of income, The Banker has performed well historically however recent results are unfortunately slightly less promising. Proofing on Racing Values shows a profit of just 1.73 points over the last 6 months. This is very contrary to Zerohype’s results which actually show a profit of 60 points for the year. This is however down to different staking methods used.

Does the product provide value for money?

I feel that given the results that are available The Banker is probably pretty fairly priced.

Conclusion

The Banker is doing roughly what it has done for the last few years and is working towards doubling the betting bank. Whilst the results aren’t prolific there is a strong sense that Alex Cole knows what he is doing and even if it doesn’t make it to double the bank (40 points in 2 months seems like a big ask) The Banker will still ultimately end up ahead. This isn’t a tipster service for those looking for a monthly income really, but if you want to consistently increase your betting bank long term, it may present a decent option.
