The Lay Maker Review

Offered through Betting Gods group, The Lay Maker is a horse racing tipster service that specialises in providing lay betting selections.

What is the product?

The Lay Maker is fundamentally a pretty standard tipster service and on the surface it doesn’t provide anything new. Betting Gods provide selections every day which you can then (as the name suggests) lay your bet through Betfair. The selections themselves are heavily steeped in analysis with the tipster behind The Lay Maker being described as a horse racing professional and to a degree this is reflected in the results. The Lay Maker has a 93.48% strike rate using a level staking system. The strike rate is very high but as a lay betting system, I would consider The Lay Maker to be low risk, low yield. It is worth noting however that not every month has been profitable despite a substantial win rate.

What is the investment vs. the rate of return?

Betting Gods sell 3 different subscriptions for The Lay Maker which are priced at £39.95, £89.95 and £229.95. These are for a month, quarter and lifetime subscription respectively. There is a full 60 day money back guarantee in place for this too as The Lay Maker is sold via ClickBank. In terms of the profits, The Lay Maker has made a total of 61.86 points. This is respectable enough but even more so when you consider that July is showing a 15.89 point loss.

Does the product provide value for money?

I think that the price is a little off putting but otherwise I think that The Lay Maker does represent value for money.

Conclusion

Generally The Lay Maker has been able to produce consistent results and ultimately consistency is what matters in a tipster service. The biggest concern with this lies in the fact that as a lay betting system a few bad days can really hit your balance as is evidenced in July’s results. I am certain that Betting Gods will refer to this as a blip but I am less convinced. Whilst I usually recommend paper trading on a tipster service I feel that it is particularly poignant advice in the case of The Lay Maker , if only to see if July is the start of a trend.
