Update – Mark Johnson’s Tennis Review

Update – Mark Johnson’s Tennis

It isn’t often that I will come back to a service like this but occasionally there are exceptional circumstances that require it. Mark Johnson’s Tennis was reviewed earlier this month with no real fanfare. In fact, I think the most positive thing I said was that if you don’t mind a gamble it may be worth a look. Let’s be clear, this wasn’t a particularly credible product from the get go. Recent allegations have been brought to our attention that Mark Johnson’s Tennis may be less credible than I originally thought.

Earlier this month I also looked at another tennis based tipster service, Tennis Tips UK operated by Robert Pattinson. I was much more praising of this for a number of reasons, namely a low risk service with a decent strike rate. Robert Pattinson puts out a solid product in Tennis Tips UK and at this point that I should address the allegations against Mark Johnson’s Tennis.

It has emerged that the same tips have been issued by both Mark Johnson’s Tennis and Tennis Tips UK. This may happen occasionally, after all there are only two outcomes in tennis. Unfortunately it has happened more than once, in some cases word for word. The difference between them? Tennis Tips UK issued the selections first. This is strongly suggestive that as alleged, Mark Johnson’s Tennis is using Robert Pattinson’s selections as his own.

There has been some rather significant fallout from this, namely that Tennis Tips UK no longer offers free tips, something that was always a part of the appeal, particularly to the casual punter. Unfortunately I can’t help but stand by Robert Pattinson in his decision to do this. Whilst nothing has been proven, any business must always seek to protect is reputation, assets and brand.

This leaves a rather unfortunate situation for people who may have taken a risk on Mark Johnson’s Tennis and to those people I would look to use the money back guarantee that Mark Johnson’s Tennis provides as soon as possible. Whilst I don’t doubt that there will be future advertising for the service I can only recommend that this is ignored.
